SHOALHAVEN RIVER FESTIVAL
28 & 29 OCTOBER 2017.
The Shoalhaven River Festival is a fabulous, fun, community event with something for everyone. It includes a street parade, music concert featuring local talent, markets, food stalls, and some fantastic river events. During the afternoon the festival will host such activities as dragon boats, stand up paddle board races, wakeboarding demonstration, display by HMAS Albatross, splash down and much more. A special Artzone area is a must to see with hay bale and tinny painting, and many other craft activities. Visit the Marina to see a great display of boats and take a trip on the sea plane.
In the evening the river bank will become a sea of people enjoying live entertainment, with special guest Dragon supported by Big T. The evening will end with a huge fireworks display.
Sunday will see a Mermaids and Pirates Party in the Artzone. The Colour Me Fun Run will be a highlight along the Nowra Bridge and the banks of the Shoalhaven River followed by plenty of activity with a DJ creating great atmosphere to mark the end of the Festival.
Husky Half Running Festival
Get ready for the 7th annual Husky Half Marathon on Sunday, 20th August 2017. It is sure to be another crowd pleaser – a flat, fast course on the scenic shores of Jervis Bay. The view is nothing short of perfection, you won’t even notice the kilometres tick over!
With the half marathon having an option of a two person team, as well as 2km and 5km races, there is a distance for everyone. Pack the family up and make a weekend of it!
Huskisson is on the shores of the spectacular Jervis Bay Marine Park within the Shoalhaven. You’ll find plenty of amazing things to see and do, relax on some of the world’s whitest sands meeting the crystal-blue waters along some of the breathtaking panorama views.
